Kopplungsweg endet bei ITND
« am: 03. November 2018, 11:02:05 »

In the WD-manual you can find a table in the chapter "Coupling routes". There you can read in which option which name and which train matrix are used. I am sorry that I can´t tell you the correct page of the manual but I only have the german edition and I don´t think that the page-numbers are the same as in the english edition...

Much success and best regards from Austria, Michael

Hallo Uwe,

Hello Michael, and other WD freinds,
Michael, I will reply in English, I hope you don't mind? and also the German version below.

I have read the Division and Coupling sections (16.14.1 and 16.14.2 in the 2015 manual) several times (2018 English manual not available yet)

Mostly it runs fine for me but my last coupling route which is the first of coupling wagons has this problem. I tried every combination in the route editor. I fixed it by using a matrix name change in the associated profile, (use leading loco) but is this correct?

I also have this issue: The train reverses in to a siding. For the division I have selected - After the - 1. Locomotive - In driving direction begin count from head of train - Uncouple wagons - Leaving part head of train -. But when I switch and drive the error message "not enough vehicals in train" happens (as the train is facing the wrong way). When I switch it, it drives fine, but why the error message?

I think this is to complicated to fix on the forum without much discussion so my question is: Should the name of the train be made in the Route Editor, or the Profile Editor?

As always it's great to hear from everybody! I appreciate everyones time!

Best regards from Australia,
IAN

IAN

Hallo Ian (see English version below!)

Hello Ian,
on the first topic or on your first question I recommend you to look at the function of the coupling type "manual". Here you can directly select whether the new (coupled) train should receive the name of the first or the second part, as well as the matrix. You can also assign the name manually.

A little bit more complicated seems to be the second topic from your post. Do you drive backwards into the siding? Did you create a profile for the entrance to the siding? Have you possibly already included a turn order in this profile? I suspect you have either created a profile with change of direction at the end of the route or you have entered no direction in the separation route. If you are unsuccessful with these hints then please put a backup status of your project here once again in the forum, we will certainly analyze your data and try to give you helpful hints!

Best regards from Austria, Michael

Hallo Michael,

Hello Ian,
I'm glad that at least the first of your problems could be solved. However, in your report on the second issue, I suspect that the Google translation may have changed the meaning. So I'd like to ask you to resubmit this part of your post in English, so maybe I can see your problem a bit better. Thank you in advance.

Best regards from Austria, Michael

Hello Michael,
I'm sorry about the translation, I wish my German was better, however to reply without google would be worse so I appreciate your understanding.

My problem:
1. A train reverses into a siding with bumber. (Loco + 5 carriages) ie: the loco pushes the carriages in so of course the direction is towards the bumber when it stops.

2. I don't have a profile for this route but I do understand that the easy solution is to use a profile and have a turn command after the train stops.

3. The next route (the problem) is to uncouple the carriages and the loco drives away. In the route editor under train division options I've tried many combinations, however without the profile of the previous route with turn command, always there is a error message = train in wrong direction, or not enough vehicles in train.

I am sure WD has a solution so there is no need for a profile in the previous route, I think I just can't find it? If I select switch and drive, all is fine, the loco decouples and drives away, I just don't understand why I get an error message.

I hope the explanation is OK?

Thanks for you contact, you are always there to help, which is very much appreciated.

Have a great day,
Best regards,
IAN
