I seem to have a problem with one of my locomotives where it will not respond when controlled with WDP X.3
The locomotive is the Märklin 3756 with the original decoder in it, I have the address set to 68 and all works perfectly with my old software and from the 6021,6036.
I have tried all the Märklin decoder settings and nothing appears to work for this locomotive. All of my other locomotives are working fine via WDP. All locomotives and turnouts are being controlled via the 6021/6051 setup. All feedback is monitored via the LTD HSI-88.
Could anyone advise where to look for possible clues as to why this one loc will not respond. This loc has the 6090 type decoder. I do not have any intensions of swapping out decoders.
Hello Maxi,
when using the 6021/6051 address 68 is the only address that can not be used with this digital system in combination with WDP.
All addresses 01-80 can be used with the 6021/6051 except 68. The reason for this is the internal usage of this address within the program for the control of 6021/6051, because otherwise you won´t be able to control manually any locomotive with your 6021, which has been controlled by WDP before. For this reason one address had to be reserved for this release function and the author of WDP selected 68.
I think, I forgot to translate this from the german to the english manual. Sorry for this!
Please use another address for this locomotive.
Best regards
Markus
Thank you for the tip, all is working fine now.
