Titel: Help Needed with CS2
Beitrag von: Gleisundzug in 05. Juni 2011, 16:41:46
I´m having some problems connecting the occupations detection with WDP.
The problem is that when I connect my CS2 to WDP, all numbered track turns into to red. But I have no S88 connected to the central.
It seams to a problem with the S88 comunication port from the Central.
Can any confirm, or I'm I doing something wrong.

Thanks,

Hello,

Does the CS2 also show feedback when it is not connected to WDP?  If you have no s88's connected no feedback should register.

Hope this helps,

Elliott

Hi,

The CS2, doesn't show any feedback. I've tried with reed's and nothing.

Many thanks.

Hello,

How do you have your s88's connected?  And which s88's are you using?

If you are using Märklin s88's do you have the ground connected to the first module?

Please let me know so we can isolate the problem

Elliott

Hi,
Which firmware version contains your CS. Versions below 1.4 had some bugs with the s88. Please, check the cable again for plugged in the right direction. Try to turn the cable 180 degrees.
Please create a easy track layout at your cs2 with one or two contacts number them and test the properly working.

Hi there,

I'm using S88 from Marklin, connected to S88 port on CS2. I have no ground connected to the first module.

Thanks,

Hello again,

If you have not connected the ground to the first module you may want to try that.  Note, that this is track ground not the ground directly connected the transformer.  Connect the track ground to the upside down "T" on the first s88 module.  In addition, as Bernd has pointed out, do you have version 1.4.0 (1) or higher on your CS2?

Sincerely,

Elliott

Hi. Yes, my CS2 has 1.4.0(1) version. I've tried to connecto the ground track and rotated S88 am cable, but nothing, no action. With WDP, same info, all track's are red, without anything connected to the CS2.

Many thanks,

I suggest back to basics to test some assumptions..

Was the S88 and track connected to another controller before the CS2, and did it work normally then?

I am assuming that you use C-track... Have you cut the C-track in two places and isolated the rail from the two connecting rails using the little red isolators?

If you have it wired it the way that Hwnel shows in the post above without ANY s88 ports connected to the track do the numbered tracks go clear.. If you touch the wire from port 1 to the rail of a track (or the brown wire from the CS2) does only track number 1 turn red?
