Titel: Littfinski HSI-88-USB in WDP, any help?
Beitrag von: Per Olsen in 21. Februar 2012, 21:12:27
Hello.

I have installed a Littfinski HSI-88-USB with 3 strings of S88 decoders.  I have installed the USB-driver and I think my WDP-setup is correct.

Testing one string at a time directly to the S88 bus of my Tams controller, works fine in WDP.
But via the HSI-88 i get "busy" on all contacts.  I checked and re-checked "everything", and cannot see what is wrong.  Can you help me?

Best regards,
Per.

Hi Per,

please turn the s88 plug at the HSI-88 180°. This could help.

Hello Per,

no, but your feedback contacts should work again.

Of course you can wait for another feeback. Maybe someone confirms my information or corrects it.

Hello Per,

I will ask Markus because I know the s88 but not the HSI-88. At the s88 you can easily turn the plug for 180" without any damage to the s88, the plug or whatever.

Please stay tuned.

Hi Per,

installing the S88 cable in the wrong direction is the most common mistakes users do make with the S88 bus (and this leads normally to fully busy state). I never heard of a user where this caused a damage.

Regards
Markus

Hello Markus and Stefan !

Thank you very much.  I just did the change, and now it works.  Thank you !!!

I was 100% sure I had it the correct way, but there you go...  I was also sure it would make a damage to connect it 180 degrees wrong, as there are in fact some Volts there..  But again, my mistake.

I spent one whole day with this problem, as I was 100% sure I had it correct.  And I did not dare to check the other way round. :D :D

All the best from rainy Bergen, Norway.

Best regards,
Per.
