Hello.
I am sure I have seen this before, but now I cannot find it.... Can you help me?
I want different sections of tracks in my WDP-layout to have different colours. The layout has grown so big, that I need to be able to tell sections apart in an easy way.
Any help?
Best regards,
Per.
Hello Per,
I answer here although you wrote in the german forum too, because of your german understanding
ZitatI want different sections of tracks in my WDP-layout to have different colours
No, that isn't possible with the standard symbols !!!
It would be a lot of work to create your own symbols for that purpose. The possibility exsist!
Sven Spiegelhauer answered already with the same sense in the german forum

Hello !
Thank you for your answer. Well, as I do use the German version of WDP, I try to learn the language again :). But it is not so easy for an old man (57) who has not used the language much since I learned it at school some 40 years ago. But I try...
As English is much easier for me, as I use it every day both in work and else, I prefer the english forum. But another fact is, that it is normally much easier to get answers in the German forum/language. I have often posted requests in the English forum and get no answer, and next posted it in (my very bad) German language/forum. Normally I then get the answers I need, although I sometimes find them hard to understand. But again, I try my best. :D
To the qustion: My layout is now getting so big (relatively) that it would be a great help to have different colours on different track-sections of my layout. I thought I had seen some layouts like this, but I must remember wrong.
I am looking forward very much to complete this new layout, as I look very much forward to really use the IZNF's, which I think is GREAT.
All the very best regards,
Per.
Hello Per
Please go and get some a Sym_SP, SYM_SP2 look, there are two different symbols are present.
Hello Per,
I am new in WDP too and had the same desire as you have and found it to be fairly easy with the help on this (geman) manual, which I found somewhere on the WDP site.
Basically I copied the original track symbols 68 to 79 to somewhere in the freie Symbole and changed the colors of he track according to the method described in the manual.
Maybe this helps.
Kind regards
