Hello:
I created a separate project to measure the speed of my locos. When done, I tried to export each single vehicle whose data had changed to my main project. I proceeded as explained in the English manual, p. 144-146, but wasn't successful. Each time I tried to import a vehicle in my main database, I had the following message: "Import successful. The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'Loco export'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly". Only the loco picture was imported, but there were no data populating the loco template.
Does somebody know the meaning of this warning? and how to solve it?
I eventually went around this obstacle by doing a data backup of the sole vehicle database and vehicle pictures from my measurement project and restore them to my main project (see English manual, p. 556-560.

Pierre

Hello Pierre,
in your export folder should be 2 items per vehicle: a picture (xxx.jpg) and a database (xxx.mdb). Do these files exist or do you have the pictures only?
Hello Stefan:
Thank you for your reply. I have both a xxx.jpg and xxx. mdb in my export folder. When I import them, WDP doesn't ask me if I want to override my current data with imported data, or if I want to create a new vehicle record (see 5.14 of the instructions). The warning I described before pops up instead.
I run my operating WDP on a laptop with Windows 8 Pro 64 bits. I thought it might me the cause of the problem. My office WDP is on desktop run by Windows 7 Pro 64 bits, and the behavior was similar as the one described above.

Pierre
WDP 2012.1 Premium, English version, Maerklin Central station reloaded, Windows 7 64 bits
Hello Pierre,
a lot of people run WDP with Windows 7 64 bit. I use Windows 8 64 bit. I just ex- and imported yesterday some vehicles without any problems. Also no problems are reported by other users. So this might be a problem within the English version. Can you please zip the jpg and mdb of a vehicle and attach it to your next response? I will then try to import your data into my database in the German version.
Hello Stefan:
Please see the attached zip folder with the 2 files. You're right: I don't think it is related to WDP. As you said, it might be a problem related to the English version of Windows.
In any case, thank you very much for your help.
Regards,
Pierre
Hello Pierre,
actually I meant the German or English version of WDP but you're right it might also be a problem of the English Windows. I will try the import both with the German and with the English version of WDP.
Hello Pierre,
I get this error, too. There must be a translation mistake in the export database because I can't import it into the English version but into the German version.
I will inform our programmers. They sure will fix that.
Hello Stefan:
It's good news: you found the likely cause of this problem. I suppose that you can download a patch on this website when the fix will be done.
Thanks again for your quick and efficient help.
Regards,
Pierre
