Titel: Unwanted braking inside a tour (Zugfahrt).
Beitrag von: Per Olsen in 30. Dezember 2012, 13:46:01
Hello.

I have seen this before on my old layout, but did not bother to fix it.  Now I have the same problem on my completely new layout, which I have just started to test/use now.  Let me try to explain:

This is not a problem anywhere else than one place on my layout.  Inside a tour (Zugfahrt) I have a route (Fahrstrasse) where the train may stop if the next route is still busy.  This works fine.  But when the next route is in fact free, the train should not slow down at all.  But it does....  It slows down to braking-speed (in my case 30) for a few sexonds, and then goes back to full speed (70) again.  I cannot see why this happens.  I include a screenshot of the route.

Any ideas?

Best regards,
Per.

Hello again.

Just a little update...:

I do have the same problem several places in my layout, I re-checked now.  Also when only 1 train is running, so the next route cannot be busy.  It still happens that the train slows down to 30 and up again.  Very annoying.  Any help?

Hello Per,

this is because your Bremse contact is the same as the Prüf contact. That means that the train reaches the Bremse contact and slows down. At the same time it chechs if the next route is free. This may take a while depending on the speed of your central station and PC. To avoid this simply move the Prüf contact before the Bremse contact.

Hello, Stefan !

Yes, this was exactly what I intended to try out now.  But I did make all my routes with the internal route-making-assistent, so the test- and brake-contacts were entered automatically.  As the same.  OK, I will try to move the test-contact to the contact before the brake-contact, hope that does not make other problems.

Many thanks for your reply !!

All the best wishes,
Per.
