I draw in my track diagram some x-crossing, but it seems Windigipet get confused because in the route editor Windigipet understand them as double slip turnouts and crossing instead.
I noticed it is possible to give them a solenoid address, which I do not understand why, as they are not turnouts just single x-crossing. Your explanation and clarification are very much welcomed.
Best regards.
Olivier
Hi Olivier,
that's correct. WDP doesn't differ between crossings and turnouts. But it simply doesn't need to. I gave my crossing two addresses, marked them as virtual and implemented it into my routes. When a route starts WDP marks the route on the display in yellow. If you start a different route that crosses the first route this will not be possible because the crossing is blocked by the first route. If you don't give the crossing addresses the second route can start instantly and the trains crash.
Thank you Stefan for your explanation, I noticed that I can mark a jump label in order to make Windigipet understand it is a X-crossing, but that will maybe not secure the route in the route editor, isn't it?
Thank you for your answer.
Best regards.
Olivier
Hello Olivier,
that's right. WDP would start 2 routes that cross and wouldn't notice it.
