I have a question about sound locos and loading the loco data base with the function for sounds. I have loaded a number of locos with there sound for each function. The problem is when i press the function button on the widigipet loco control the sound does not play after function F6 function before this work but about F6 they do not does any one have any ideas?

Many Thanks
James

Hello James

Which center do you use it?
Is it the sounds that are in the decoder, or is it pure sound files from a database on the PC?

Its the sounds on the decoders. Its many ESU decoders and Zimo. The sounds play if i use the DCC hand throttle. But not when i turn them on with windigipet.

Is it the Central from ESU, or from an other Factury?

Hello James,

which WDP version are you using? Have you installed the latest update for your version? Have you entered the locos into the WDP database and have you entered the functions there? Have you transferred all data of the database from WDP to your central?

Hello James,

I also use IB-Com and ESU-sound. My "01" is configured like the picture below. With the "f6"= slow-motion I learned so:
in WDP I must have a V>0 in loco-control and f6 works ready.
The other sounds sounds good :-)

Greetings

Hello James,

there are two questions remaining: have you installed the last update for the 2009 version? Have you transferred all data from WDP to the central?

Hello James,

in the loco database you find a button with a loco and a double arrow on it. When you press it all loco data  will be transferred to the central.

EDIT: I just got the information that this is not possible with your central.

Does a software come along with your central? Can you play the sounds using that software?

I can play all the sounds with the the handset from the DCC system it is just when I want to play them with windigipet.

Hello James,

I noticed that you are not using the Uhlenbrock IB-Com in your system settings.  Have you tried using this setting under system settings.  I also have the WDP 2009 English version and there is a "Uhlenbrock IB-Com" in the system setting drop down menu.

Try it with this and see if it works.

Aloha,

Elliott
