I have set up trains in windigipet and also some tours, all ok when I turn off system and backup, next time I turn on system all the train label speedos go to a maximum of 20km and if I run the tours the engines go round at full speed, also if I move an engine manually the speedo does not move
can you help
regards eebo
Hello,
can you give us some more information, please? Which version of WDP do you use? What is your digital central? How have you entered the locos into the database and how did you make the routes?
version is premium 2012 English, I am using intellibox 2, I set the locos up pressing on the loco button on the toolbar and the routes and tours using the appropriate wizards?
regards ian
can someone please help me with this problem?????????
regards ian
Hello Ian,
can you please provide us with a backup of your data. Make a backup without the loco pictures and symbols.
i have noticed that this only happens to locos i have run on a tour when i close down and re open wdp the loc settings have changed
how do i attach the file to the email, as i do not understand german???
here is the file, i think
Hello Ian,
you have to make speed measurements with all of your locos. You didn't do this, yet. 3 of your locos have no speed measurement and the other 3 are all set to 0 km/h maximum speed. This can't work.
Please take the time and make the measurement. This will help!
how do I make the speed measurement please??
Hello Ian,
this can't be answered in two or three words. Please read the manual chapter 5.9.5 and look for the calibration. There are the speed measurement and the calibration. I mean the later though the terms are often mixed.
If you have questions after reading please do not hesitate to ask.
i have calibrated the locos on the measurement track, when i re start them back on the tours they move at 3kmh???????
ian
here is another backup after i calibrated locos, could you please check if i have done this correctly, and why the locos run at 3kmh on a tour now?
regards ian
Hello Ian,
unfortunattely the calibration is not correct. The measured speeds should form a line from the left bottom corner close to 0 km/h up to the right upper corner.
Additionally I had a look at your calibration measuring track. A is the contact where the loco starts. B is the contact where it speeds up, C is the measuring area. D slows down the train and E stops it. You entered a length for C of 810 cm. This is veeeeery long! Are you sure this is correct? Do not enter the lengths of A to E but only of C!
What did you do with the decoders? The acceleration delay and deceleration should be set to 1.
810cm is the correct length for this feed section, I could start section A, where I have section D ???
all I done after this was save and close, what do you mean about what did I do with the decoders??
ian
so A=0, b=0, C=810, D=0, E=0, if I change a to where D is currently, C=100cm is this long enough, are you referring to the acceleration, deceleration values in the loco info, ie if I click on the little wdp symbol in the top right of the train label?
just going off line for 5 minutes, going to layout and have another try
ian
i have rest the measuring track as follows:
A=FEED 71
B=FEED 72
C=FEED 67,68
D=FEED 69
E=FEED70
GOING CLOCKWISE
also when i press start i then turn speed up to full on itellibox for the loco
still not right
Hello Ian,
save and close is not enough. You have to start the calibration. You put a loco on A, select it in that calibration screen in the drop box and press Start. The loco will run several times forward and back and eventually stop. Then you click on Save.
The loco will run the calibration area with different speeds. The first one is very slow, than medium, than maximum speed if you choose the 3 point calibration. More exactly is the 15 point calibration but this takes obviously longer. You should have a look if you have a different area for the calibration. C should be between 150 and 200 cm if possible. Otherwise it will take hours!
How did you program the decoders or did you ever program the decoders?
ok measurement track C is 190cm, I have added the feedback numbers into B & D only, I put loco on A, choose the loco from the scroll down menu, then press start, the loco starts moving very very slowly, then reverses very very slowly, then med speed forward & backward, then full speed forward and back and stops then save, close.
I do not speed the loco from the intellibox, is this correct? I let the system take over however slow the loco starts?
Hello Ian,
yes, that's correct. You do it exactly as you have written.
all done working perfectly
thanks Stefan
stefan i have another problem, i have a point motor on a fleischmann 3 way point, address 1, in the track diagram mode, in test it works perfect, when i go to the main screen and change the point it changes and changes back again to the same direction, if i try and move the point manually it will not move, there is a constant current holding it to one position???
but works fine in the test screen of the track diagram???
Hello,
does it have one or two solenoids? If it has 2 then you need to give it 2 different addresses and find out which position of the solenoids switches the turnout correctly.
yes I have done all this, it works perfectly in track diagram, solenoid test all ok?? when I go back to the main screen it does not work properly, I have tried different motors same problem, I have noticed that if I change the point from the Intellibox 2, the picture changes and then changes back again??
Hello,
do you just click the tournout icon in the track diagram and you get that problem or do you start a route?
in the track diagram and it does the same thing in tours, so the train is turned onto the wrong track, I am not sure if this is a WDP problem or a intellibox problem, but it is strange that it has just started happening after I have set up routes and tours????
it is strange that it works perfectly when I test the solenoids in the diagram editor??
the other thing that is strange, it is only this motor on address 1, all the other 26 motors I have on the layout are ok??
Hello,
can you try a different address > 4?
