Using Tour Automatic with Follow - on Tour activated, how do I get the program to obey the "waitng time" command ? With Follow - on Tours de-activated, the "waiting time" command works ! Can anyone help ?

Hello,

you already mentioned the solution. Don't use follow-on here. They do what it says, the follow on and immediately. They are invented exactly to ommit the waiting time.

Lieber Stefan, Many thanks for your quick reply. Another problem is raised by this answer. When "Follow - on Tour is not activated "waiting time" is obeyed but the Tours do not appear sequentially despite the appropiate box being activated. Is there another solution to my problem ?
Vielen danke im voraus. Gruß-Dave CONNER.

Hello Dave,

this "sequentially" doesn't mean the follow up of two or more tours. It means that a tour can be used by a second train even if the first is still running in the same tour.

Lieber Stefan, Once again many thanks for your quick reply. I had not realised the subtle role sequential played in Tour Automatic, now I understand. To return to my original problem, I have nine tours i.e. A B C D E F G F H, all with seven seconds waiting time, and one locomotive on the track. When I start the program without "Follow - on Tour" activated, tours A, B & C run, and then the program goes to tour G and continues to H, ignoring tours D,E & F. Tour G has the locomotive pointing in the opposite direction, so I think you can understand my frustration ?
         Any ideas ?
Vielen danke. Gruß, Dave CONNER

Hello Dave,

WDP sorts all tours according the first feedback contact. Then it looks which route maches the feedback contact for the next start. It takes the first of it if there are several. So if G and D have the same start contact and G is first in the order of the tours it will start this one.

If you have random enabled it will take any tour with a matching start contact and this can change any time.

If you want D to be run before G than you need a counter or a virtual solanoid to steer the order of the tours.

Lieber Stefan, Your reply's are getting very interesting because it appears to me that I'm using another software. I accept your point that the last contact made would dictate what the next contact will be. The routes that are being selected on my system are not following this logic, or so I believe. To make sure that I'm not missing something obvious, my "comrade in arms" Günther will double check my problems with me tomorrow. I will of course keep you posted.

Vielen dank und Gruß-Dave CONNER.

Lieber Stefan, In Tour Automatic I activated "First departure time within Tour Schedule" as apposed to "Last saved time" and low and behold, my Tour starts from the begining. So I'm gradually getting there, in fact I'm now convinced I'm using the same software as everyone else.
Once again many thanks for your patience and help.
