One more thing: When all is up and running (New, clean WDP2015 Project), can I then copy back my old 2012-project to a New folder in PROJEKTE, and load itinto the WDP2015? Will it convert the needed datas, and start this Project? I would really like that :) :)

no, please, don't do that. Please use the Data Import/Export within the Startcenter. There you can reimport the old data. And yes, WDP will convert it, of course. ;-)

I do some imports of Projects, they SEEM to be OK, but they always end With a "Laufzeitfehler 75: Fehler beim Zugriff auf Pfad/Datei". Is it all OK, or is something wrong?
It is the same if i restore from memory-stick, via my network or from a Directory in the same PC as WDP.

OK, I will try...:
I use my old Project called LOFTET2 from WDP 2012. I made a backup With Datenpflege to Directory BACKUP. This Directory I copied to my other PC with WDP 2015 in a Directory called BACKUP LOFTET 2. From the start-centre I then clicked "Data import/export", found the same Directory, clicked on RESTORE and START. I get the warning that current Project might be overwritten. I click YES. I am asked if LOFTET 2 should be created as a New independent Project, I click YES to LOFTET 2 restore. 96% of files are copied, then comes the error Message:
WDP Startcenter2015 Premieum
Laufzeitfehler 75:
Fehler beim Zugriff auf Pfad/Datei
OK.
When I press OK, the start-center Closes completely.
All SEEMS to work anyway, but maybe all is not OK after all?

what you did was correct! Try this: select the data maintenance within the start center and chose "compress and repair". Maybe there is a bug in your project. Then try to import it again.
If the error still occurs please add your project here. If it's too big for the forum then we will find a different way.

I spent the day today re-installing WDP 2012 and make a New export of the Project. Next I removed the 2012 and installed a New, clean 2015 (not updating the old 2012). I imported again the project, and this time I had no error-messages. So now it seems to be OK.
I must conclude that there was some kind of error in the old export from 2012. Anyways, now it seems OK.

By the way, why does this editor in the forum change lower-case letters to upper-case letters in some Words like "Word, New, Project" etc? Is it because this is normal in German Language (not in English Language) ? :) I did choose English Language in the forum..

No, the upper case letters are a result of your internet browser and the included auto correction of the spelling. I use Chrome and there I can change the language of the input box. So it doesn't make something like that. So it's not a matter of the language of the forum but of the text editor in your browser.

Not so good, anyway, it seems. The problem is back! This time I use none of my old Projects, only the included Project in WDP2015. Maybe this can help find my problem..:
I have now tried on 2 different computers, one With Windows 7 and one With Windows 8, and the exact same thing happens on both. I did this:
First I un-installed WDP2015 and deleted all extra files.
Next I installed WDP2015 (run SETUP as administrator).
I load the included Project WDP2015 and run it.
Next I Close all Down. I restart the PC and start WDP again.
I make a backup of the Project.
Again I Close the program and restart the computer and start WDP again.
Now I start a restore of the same Project. And now I have the exact same error as described before.
What is wrong With me ? :) :)
This time I used none of my own stuff, ONLY the stuff from the WDP2015 USB-stick.
Looking around With my Windows Commander, I can see that none of the files in BACKUP and PROJECT directories, have the -a- attribute set. I do not know if this means anything? I should think not? I did not change it myself (don't know how to do it).

2 ideas: first, you write you installed WDP as administrator. There are two different administrators in Win 7 and 8. It is not sufficient to be logged in as admin but you need to make a right click on the setup.exe and then chose "Install as administrator". If you already did that then
Second, make a right click on the WDP startcenter and select "Run as administrator". Does this help?

To be sure, I re-installed noch einmal now on my portable PC, the problem is still the same.

I have un-installed and installed again several times today on both computers. The same thing happens every time. But are you sure that there really IS something wrong? Could it be that the only problem is that the error-message should not appear? I have tried to look around at all files, I have run the Project, modified it, backed it up and restored it several times. I cannot find anything wrong, other than the error-message and the Automatic shutdown of the start-centre.
I would really like to work on my Project this weekend, but need to be sure that it is OK. I would like to get rid of that error-message first. I have not heard of anybody else having this problem (maybe nobody else have done this check), so I must assume that the problem is here in my PCs. What do you think?

Very strange stuff.
please try this:
-import your old project (if it has alreasy imported, delete it before)
-delete all other projects including the demo project for 2015
-just use your old project
-don´t do any export/import stuff without a real need to do this
-does any further probleme exist after this procedure?

Next I deleted the 2015 demo Project.
It now Works OK. Like it did last time I imported my old Project, too.
You say not to do backup/restore without any real need. Well, I do need to backup this Project, copy it to a New name, and work on this New Project. Can I do this?

Yes, this is what I did. So I can do it again?
Anyways, I tried more late last night, and another strange thing happens:
After a restart of the Startcenter, the demo-Project is back! I did delete it With the "Delete WDP2015" function in the Startcenter. It did disappear, but the next time I start the Startcenter, it is back! I tried several times. So I got the idea of starting again without the 2015 USB-stick installed (after having deleted the demo again), but then I got a Message to put in the "Win-Digipet 2015 Premium Edition" in the cpmputer and click OK. It seems to look for a .msi file. If I press OK or Abbrechen, it comes back again and asks for the .msi file. It does not stop untill I put in the WDP-stick again. But then the demo-Project is installed again. So how do I get rid of it, if I must?

ok, the Windows Installer thing. In my opionion the installer should only automatically reinstall deleted EXEs but no project data. Try just to delete the content of the Demo project directory within the Explorer.

I tried that. Same thing. Why not just leave it alone, as it seems impossible to get rid of it?
For me it is more important to be able to make backups and restore my backups without any error-messages. I want to be certain that all is Ok before I make too much work in my Project, and risking to have to re-install again. What more can I do to fix this?
Certainly I am not the only one With this problem? Have you tried yourself to make a backup, and restore that backup after a reboot of the PC? No error-messages?

Absolutely no error messages. Please provide a backup of your project here. I´d like to try it with your project. Even if it also happened with the Demo project.
Which language setting are you using in Win-Digipet and which language is your Windows version?

WDP is set to English (I tried also German, same result).
My Windows-Versions are Norwegian. I don't know how to set them to another Language. I hope THIS is not the problem..

I spent some hours tonight trying to solve my problem. I think I am Close....:
To make a very long story short:
When installing WDP, the demo-Project has a SOUND Directory that contains this file:
16.09.1993 12:41 28380 LOK.WAV
Deleting this file solves all the error-messages-problem.
Maybe it is because the date of this file is very old (from 1993) ?
It seems that WDP2015 in my 2 PCs can backup this file, but cannot restore it (creates the error-message).
Maybe if I have this problem, others may have it too..
Anyways, I deleted the file, and now all seems OK. That is, except for the earlier mentioned problem With deleting the demo-Project, the Startcenter will still not start before the demo-Project is re-installed (With also that LOK.WAV file from 1993).
So, in my case, it seems I should never delete the demo-Project (this is OK, as long as I remember it :) ) and if that error-message should come back, I need to delete that old LOK.WAV file again. Does this sound OK, for now?

I am not sure if this helps, but I deleted 2012.2 and installed 2015 as a fresh install on my PC. I then imported my last project (created in 2011) without any system error messages. However, I did get a number of new errors in the project checking tool with my project that were not identified in the previous version. Clearly there is a tighter testing process for projects in this version than previous ones. It is also testing macros and tours that come with the default installation and are not used in my project.
I still have the old .wav file installed, but I don't play any sounds when I start WDP. I have not set the play sounds options since version 8!
I left the Demo project alone. I did not select it or delete it from my system.
Tomorrow, after I work through the project report errors I hope to see if the project works as expected.
