Hello Forum
On December 24, the long-awaited new Zimo firmware finally arrived.
Since August, I had been unable to use Windypet 2025.
Unfortunately, my hopes of a working track were quickly dashed by yet another abort code, albeit a different one.
I wonder if it all has to be programmed so critically, given that this abort code is related to the locomotive database.
It would be nice if there were an option to bypass this.
Even better, don't apply it at all. Since I will not be using the Zimo locomotive database with associated DCC addresses.
I also mentioned earlier on this forum that two of the four Stein 88Vs are not detectable in Windigipet.
Here too, the new firmware did not provide a solution.
However, using my sailor's logic, if Stein ID 1 and ID 3 are displayed and ID 2 and 4 are not, what would happen if I changed 2 and 4 to an odd number? .
And lo and behold, the miracle of Christmas.
Then they all appeared on the screen.
There is clearly something wrong with the Stein NetID in Windigipet.
Stein ID 1-3-5-7 works fine. Stein ID 1-2-3-4 does not work.
I wish everyone a prosperous 2026.
All the best ,
Rupert
