I have 2 different locomotives that I have set routes for, tested the routes all OK but in the timetable they are not moving.

Hello Chris,

do they move if you use the central station? If yes have you calibrated the locos? If yes again then check if the red horizontal bar is at zero. If yes then move it up.

Stefan

Hello,

you have to rework your layout - completely! There are no signals but you need them! Even if they are not present on your layout you have to insert them at least virtually in your layout! WDP needs them to block the route from other use. In your case WDP would reuse the route or start a different that uses parts of your rout and it crashes! If there are (virtual) signals on your layout and they are part of your route then they are blocked until the train reaches the end of the route. No other train that runs a part of the route with that signal(s) included can start. No crashes!

Second, don't create that long routes! Make routes from one train number display to the next. You can combine then the  routes to one tour. Advantage: when the train reaches a TND WDP will release the route and the next train can start to the TND where the last train came from. More traffic!

Please redo this. If your problem is then still permanent I will look again.
Viele Grüße,
Stefan

Hi Stefan

Just read your response. Will this also make a difference even if he is only running in time table mode?
Also do you need signals on only the section with Train identification TDN?

Just trying to learn more.

Have put in signals and re written routes to include signals and made routes shorter , but still get this, see attached picture

Hi Chris,

do the green TNDs have the same feedback contact? They shouldn't.

Hello James,

yes, you should use signals even if you run in time table mode. Because it may hapen (and usually will) that you get a delay for what reason ever and then you could have the situation that one trains starts althought the other train is still there.

To block a route or section WDP uses all kind of solenoids such as signals and turnouts. So if you have turnouts within your route WDP will lock then, too. No routes can use a solenoid that is already locked. You should have at least a signal at the end of a route so that no train can enter that route from the other side. You can have more signals if it makes sense.

Changed to 1 loco TND per feedback section and still have same problem, attached screen shot

Hello Chris,

you deleted the wrong TND. Please change that and then you have to go to the routes editor, select that route, click on the camera and record the route again. Please see the manual how to do that.

Additionally please check that no contact of a different route is part of this route because it doesn't belong there.

Hi Stefan

Thanks for your help I am sure chris will get there I am working with him and we are both learning more every day.

He is in Scotland and I am about 700 mile south of him. I log in to his computer and we work out the problems together. He has been running the layout well for two years now.

He added a few extra feed backs and this is when we got this problem. I am worried that this has given the problem and not so much to do with the TND.

Will try and see if this helps.

Thanks once again.

James

Hello,

this is my idea: every time you change a section you have to alter the routes going through that area. Please check all those routes. Best is to delete theme and record them again or you have to alter the existing toes using the camera symbol. Only when all routes are correct you can go to the next step.

All routes are deleted and re written I do this as corse I always say keep it simple.  We will go through it and check.

But I know I did delete the ones we showed you.

Many thanks again.

Hello,

well, as I offered before: if you don't find the problem please make a backup without the above mentioned details. But I wish good luck searching the error. My personal opinion is that I learn the most from my mistakes by finding and correcting them.
