Hi,

We would like to operate, two locomotive connected together, one is Marklin 392185 with MFX decoder, the other is Fleishman AC, with decoder lokpilot V4.0  made by esu. working with intelibox IR, and WDP XPro.  At the moment the 2 locomotive share the same address, however speed and acceleration are different.
1. How can we control the same speed and accelerations
2. should the two locomotive have different addresses

Hi,

while this is rather difficult in Pro X it is quiet simple in the new version. The difference is that in the new version you run the locos with real speed an not with percentages. When you tell both of the trains to run with 40 mph both run with 40 mph regardless of their maximum speed that may differ.

In your version you need profiles for each loco and each route to let them run the same speed. This is a lot of work and simply not necessary in the new version. They just do it. I recommend highly the new version. I'm sure you will find that the upgrade is worth the money. And running the trains with mph is just one new aad-on.

However what you need to control is the acceleration and deceleration of the trains. They should be similar. The easiest way here is to turn it of in the decodes and let WDP do the job.

I recommend to give the locos different digital IDs because you might have the idea to separate them e. g. when you split the train in two parts or other possibility: when your trains reaches a steep area you add another loco to the train.
Viele Grüße,
Stefan
