Hello, I need help implementing the Zimo MX 10 in Windigipet 2025.
When Windigipet 2025 is activated, the blue screen of the Zimo MX10 clearly shows the LAN connection "Windigipet."
I can control all turnouts with their own DCC address. However, as soon as I want to change a driving function or property in a locomotive screen, the connection is lost.

According to the Zimo manual for the MX33FU, page 32, External and computer control, I should see a warning message on the MX33FU hand controller for the active locomotive that the locomotive is under "external control." This is not the case.  When I operate the speed controller of the locomotive window from WindiGipet, the connection is also lost.

Are there any settings I have forgotten?

Zimo firmware used: MX10_MX33_2025-06-26.

Hello Rupert,

First of all:
ZitatAccording to the Zimo manual for the MX33FU, page 32, External and computer control, I should see a warning message on the MX33FU hand controller for the active locomotive that the locomotive is under "external control."
Please take also note about the following sentence which can be found in the Zimo manual:
"This manual reflects (matches) the product- and software version at delivery. "
The wrote also in some versions things like: "the Screenshot may also show future functions which are not available until now" (citated from my mind).
Thus be very careful when comparing the manual to the real function.

I made experiments with a locomotive similar to yours:
I was immediantly able to reproduce the connection loss which started with 06 in your screenshot. The showed code is always the last command sent to the MX10 to which WDP got no answer from the MX10. The command show is the command to tell the MX10:
Please set Zimo image index 0 (you selected no zimo image on the according index card in WDP, but this is ok) for locomotive 84 (hexadecimal 54). If you would like could even check the command, that is command sent by Win-Digipet is absolutly correct by reading the Zimo interface protocol (https://www.zimo.at/web2010/documents/Zimo_CAN-Protokoll_4.35.pdf) chapter "ITEM IMAGE CONFIG (0X12)".
But at first I was not able to reproduce the connection loss you called 02. But then I updated my MX10 also to the newest firmware from the Zimo homepage and then I also got that error.
The 02 error occurs when I ask the MX10 for the "Fahrzeug/Vehicle state of vehicle 84". You could also check this command in the linked document" in chapter "FAHRZEUG STATE [0X02.0X00]". Also this command is abosutly correct send by WDP.

I also tried a connection via USB (becuase in the past we had sometimes the situation that some commands where not usable temporaly via LAN for some firmware versions), but with the current firmware this made no difference.

Conclusion: I will write the Zimo developer of the MX10, that they need to check this in their firmware.

Regards
Markus

Hi Rupert,

the developer responsed me that he will check why I don´t get the expected answer (he confirmed that it should come), but it will last especially for the "Code 06" (he wrote that they changed something in this context and maybe that caused some trouble with this command) thing some time due to holiday reasons.

Hello Markus, thank you for this update.
It appears to be a repeat of a situation from several years ago when I also disrupted your summer vacation.  ::)
At that time, with the Lenz LZV200, it was also a firmware issue.

That's why I waited to report this until you were back from vacation.  :)
Now it's Zimo, and to be completely honest, I didn't expect this, but Murphy's Law is relentless. :-\
We'll wait for the firmware update.

kind regards
Rupert  :)
